If you have tried all the things from your last thread, then possably the alternator is stuffed. The one thing that wasn't mentioned, and that
is the alternator needs an exciter current to charge. This would come from your ignition switch, through the charge indicating light to the small
terminal on the alternator, and once the charge starts, the light will dim, or go out. HTH Ray

I've heard some say on here that spinning some alternators the wrong way can damage the brushes and knacker it.
Any chance that's happened?
