Digital clocks - SVA Acceptable?

Has anyone passed a SVA with digital bike clocks?

I have some KOSO ones with digital speedo, rev counter, and all the required lights and want to know whether to fit them now or later.

Cheers

I am not even in the UK, but I am 90% positive that it is OK. I have seen pics of tons of them.

digital speedo is fine as long as it shows mph and is illuminated when side lamps are on.

there is no requirement for any other instruments i.e. no rev counter, no fuel guage.

telltales - usaully lamps - required are:
- indicator
- brake warning
- fog lamp
- high beam

(I think that is the complete list)

I'm having difficulty getting the rev counter to work. If I took it out, how do they do the noise test ? Does tester have his own rev counter ?

i have koso and passed with no issues.

When I took mine it had no rev counter, they also had no rev counter!
For noise test he said hold it at 5,000 rpm, I said "how" he said "just judge it" - I think I may have erred slightly on the low side!!! - passed the noise test tho'

I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours. http://shop.ebay.co.uk/furoreproducts/m.html?_dmd=1&_ipg=50&_sop=12&_rdc=1

Even when a tacho is fitted they don't bother calibrating it.... Often tachos can unfortunately over-read by 20% for the noise test
