Have you connected up all of the indicators using standard bulbs in each or used LED's?? Sounds strange being variable though

indicator bulbs are typically 21 W.

to work out total wattage multiply 21 by the number of bulbs.

this does not ofcurse include any side repeateer lamps not the lamp in the dash board.

i have worked out that i have taken 11w per side off the orginal wattage, would that make it do that? as well if i get a new flasher unit would it work ok for the sva? or do i need to put a few lights under the bonnet to slow it down?

thanks

I can recomend this:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/3-Pin-Electronic-LED-Flasher-Blinker-Flash-Signal-Fix_W0QQitemZ280247710688QQihZ018QQcategoryZ72233QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItemQQ_tr ksidZp1713.m153.l1262

It runs on any combination of LED and conventional bulbs upto 20A, it took about a week to come and has a tiny delay when indicating, other than that can't fault it!

interesting, if the load is less ,then flasher shold run slower as the bimetallic strip takes longer to heat up and break contact (cooling time to close shold eb the same).

inf cat when a bulb blow, the indicatior and tell tale in cablin remain on so that it is clear they have stopped working.

anyways, 11 W peersdie comparted to 42 W???? are you using chidren torch bulbs?

the electronic relay like wot ^^^ says, would sort you out assuming it is not some other problem.
