STM/Aries Locoblade loom...???
Is anyone using the STM/Aries Locoblade loom as supplied by Aries? If so, do you know how the fan is wired? I have only got as far as laying the loom
out in the car and there are two terminals at the front of the loom for the fan. There is wiring for a fan switch on the dash. The loom is designed
for parts of an 893 'blade loom to be spliced in but, as far as I am aware, there is no ecu fan control on the 893 'blade.
Does the fan only come on with the dash switch?
Before anyone says anything too smart, the only drawing you get is a layout rather than a wiring diagram so I know that I have a red/black and a
purple wire at the switch and a red/black and two blacks at the fan!

The bike has a thermoswitch in the rad which kicks th fan in at some temperture or other!
The rad you have should also have one, if you are lucky it will work, then as a back up, you have the switch

I know! But it would be useful if we had a fighting chance. You haven't seen the multi-coloured bird's nest I've got left from what
was the bike loom that I've got in store for you!

Oh joy!!! With Ben's car we got the lighting side of the loom sorted out before then splicing in the bike loom to run the engine. The R1 uses a
thermo unit to run the rad fan and temp guage via the bike loom so hopefully yours will be similar!!
Do you have a wiring diagram to view online anywhere??

I've got the hand-drawn wiring diagram that came with my (blade) loom when I got mine from STM. u2u me if you want a copy!!!! It shows 2* black
and 1* black/red for the fan... I ran my black/red via the radiator switch then the output of that to the fan...

Ben - Is it a wiring diagram or just the layout schematic? Does the dash switch then have to be on for the thermo switch to operate?
