Fiesta

Hi i hope some one can help, a mate of mine has a fiesta and the heater switch dose not work i think the problem is the bypass tap/ switch [ under the bonnet ]
can this be striped or is it a chuck and renew
it has 4 pipes going to it and a electric solenoid
How can you test it ?

Very common on fiesta/ka. I think the part is £40 odd from Ford.

Id replace it as the plastic ends go brittle and will only snap when you try to take the pipes off.

Not worth the bother of testing, I've changed dozens that have been faulty.

yup very common there's plenty of real ford ones on ebay think i paid £25 for mine won't even loose much water changing it
