Bit of an odd one!

Are side repeaters needed for the test?

are there any specific locations for them?

yes they are needed for iva. not 100% on location but mine are on the side of the scuttle. also seen some on side panels.

Mine are on the scuttle but i havnt got through IVA yet and am now a little worried. Can anyone confirm the required positioning for them?





How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

Per the wording in the IVA Manual they are required and the positioning is as follows.
Within 2600mm of the front of the vehicle
Min Height 350mm
Max Height 1500mm
Must be visible 5deg to 60deg to rear.
Must flash between 60 and 120 times a minute with the engine on.
The positional and angles of visibility requirements are required to be met when all doors, bonnet, boot lid etc. are in the closed position only.
Doesn't dscribe limitations on what it is affixed to.

If anyone else can explane why they are not allowed on a scuttle can you advise before I drill two big holes in my scuttle!!

I'm going through this too.

I think the concern is the rear visibility due to the rear wings?
