Bright Shift Light

Hi,

I have a shift light on my OMEX system which has a red LED in the usual 12mm housing. around the LED it has a reflective mirror and even in the day it is extremely bright.

I wanted to get another one of these to be my oil warning light as it is so bright, does anyone know where I can get one, without having to buy the whole rev limiter system from OMEX?

Cheers Mark.

i'd go onto maplin's web site and look what LED's they have. They have some VERY bright LEDS + the housing for them for pence.

You may not want the reflective housing - those LEDs from Maplins are painfully bright - you may even find that you'll want to tone them down.

I have one of those maplin leds that you can have to try if you want for the price of postage, its been chopped about but still works ok.

Cheers

I'm using two of the Maplin "Superbright" LEDs for my oil warning light. They are indeed super bright!

Also fit a loud buzzer, that way you have two senses being alerted.
