Megasquirt, Premier Loom & Digidash 2...HELP
I have just received my Megasquirt 1 V3.0 (Extra EFi) and Premier Loom which will link to my Digidash 2. I am trying to make sense of the spaghetti
of wires that I have and am a bit overwhelmed to say the least. I'm slowly working through each unit and labelling up each wire and hoping the
penny will soon drop so that all becomes clear, but I'm confused as to how they're all going to connect up. For example, the loom has a
feed to the fuel pump but the MS also requires a connection to the fuel pump? It's a similar story with sensors......loom to sensor, sensor to
MS and Sensor to Digidash??? Before I share my ignorance with Alan at Premier or Phil at Extra EFi , thought I'd post on here first to see if
any of you kind folk can offer any advice / guidance?
Cheers,
Matt

1st - label all the wires, so you know where bits of the loom go.
2nd - look at the MS documentation about where all the wiring goes
3rd - Draw out a diagram for how MS joins to the premier loom, if the premier loom doesn't include fuses for stuff like injectors or MS itself,
don't forget you'll need to add those in. Include on the diagram all the colours on each loom, fuse ratings, etc.
4 - lay the two looms in the car, look and see if you need to extend / join any together.
To answer your questions on sensors, it depends on what's on the premier loom you have - if the connections are already on it and land in the
right place, I would splice or divert them to feed MS. My loom didn't have them, as I chose MS later on in the build, so I had to make a mini
loom for my MS and splice it into the main loom where necessary.

i spent a nice friday night with a few cans sat in the lounge with my premier loom labelling it all up and laying it approximately in position on the
floor.
I'd advise doing the same it made a lot of sense when i'd finished.
I suspect the same will be true of the mega squirt & you'll be doing it without the confusion of an engine being in the way.
In that once done you could lay the mega ontop of the premier loom in approximate position to understand what goes where.
