Clicking from starter motor
Afternoon Everybody,
Could anyone please offer advice on a problem with my starter motor? I fitted a new starter motor to my 2.0l Pinto and have done less than 1000
milessince I fitted it.. Last Monday the car fired up OK. Yesterday however when I came to start it up all I got was a rapid "clicking "
noise. I charged up the battery, tried again, but got the same result.
Any advice most welcolm.
Regards
David

Bad earth, cauing a voltage drop.
Normally the earth strap, either loose or corrosion.

Ive had the same problem for a while.
Battery and earth is fine, starter motor is fine.
I put a jumper from the starter ign wire to the battery and it seems to work ok.
Note to self... stop being lazy and run a new wire to ignition.

Yup, that's what caused my problem a couple of months ago, first thing I'd check
