ignition barrel wiring

hi all, the previous owner of my indy wired up the ignition to a seperate barrel on the dash board.
i want to go back to the origional barrel on the steering column as i think its better than starting your car with a locker key! lol.
but just want to check wiring with you lot as the dash mounted barrel has different colour wires(aftermarket wiring loom i think) pics below thanks, lewis.

just get a multimeter out, on a resistance setting, find out which is you permanent Live, connect one connnector from your multimeter to that.

Then turn the key once, and check the other wires to find out which one is accesories (if it has it), then one more turn for switched live, then turn and hold and check the wires for your starter solenoid switch.

Do the same on your ford barrel and just move the wires over so they connect after doing the same amount of turns on the dash mounted barrel..

Hope that makes sense
