High Amp connector advice.
I am ploughing through the electrics on my kitcar build and I must say I reckon I have got my head around it.
My ignition switch has long tails hanging from it and I want to connect it to the main loom etc. As no-one can seem to give me absolute answers on
the max ampage of yellow crimp connectors (different people have told everything from 15amps to 45amps) I was looking for a connector that can take a
reasonable ampage suitable for a switched ignition cable. Any suggestions?

Define "reasonable" or just tell us how much you need.

Crimped spade (or bullet) connectors will be fine provided you use the correctly sized ones for the (correctly sized) cable. A neater option than a
pile of loose cables/connectors are the housed crimp terminals typically in 2, 4, 6, 8 way format. Have a look at Vehicle Wiring Products
catalouge/website if you haven't already, there's a good range to choose from.

I haven't sat down and worked it out. I have a Rover V8 running Megajolt and everything else on the car is more or less standard. I plan to
run the Headlights (main and dip), radiator fan, horn, fuel pump and 12v outlet through relays. So the switch ignition will take more or less
everything else.

There isn't that much left.
Instruments are < 1Amp total
Injectors might be 900mA each (high impedance) this would be 100% duty cycle
Ignition will depend on what you have used
Rear lights are 1Amp (for both)
Brake lights are 2Amps each
Side lights are 2Amps (for all 4)
For light 2Amps
Reversing lights (no idea)
Heater fan? (not sure of the load on that as I don't have one).
Definitely worth doing some simple calculations of what you need. If you don't already know for current (Amps) take power (in W) and divide by
12V.
I'd be surprised if you get to 15Amps.
