indicator pins on Sierra column

Afternoon

been a while since I consulted the locost brains for electrical info. Could anyone explain ( in laymans) whether the pins on the column for the indicators (L- white/black for left & R-green/black for right) are these switched earths to the flasher relay or positives?

I'm thinking of fitting sparco style buttons instrad of using the indicator stalk and wondered whether the other terminal on each button should be wired to a +'ve or a -'ve if the other contacts go to the pins above.

If anyone could explain (simply) the easiest way to do this I'd be very grateful.

Your patience as always is much appreciated

The electrical fool

Doesn't it depend which version of the stalks you have?

I seem to remember 83BGs are switched live, 87BG are switched earth.

But I could be backwards, wrong, or mad.

i dont think that it matters as either type of switch can usually do both jobs.
