Fuel Sender options..
Recently i had my tank foam filled.
Im finding getting an accurate reading on my guage now difficult as the foam fouls on the Sender Arm..
Are there any other types of senders available that work differently that would now foul on the foam? anything now available that works digitally? and
doesnt require a moving float?
Not to familar with fuel senders but thought this was the place to ask.
Thanks

Looks like you need a guage to suit the Sender.. and the VDO guage that i have to mate with the float arm sender will not work..
So the guts of £100 to change it..
Hmm... is it worth it... almost another Race Entry!

Might be worth a look around for Ultra Sonic Tank gauges.
There might be some sensor in that range that does the job?
No need for any kind of float system, in fact nothing inside the tank at all.

some areo/marine gauges use capacitance aswell IIRC .( i think it was capacitance)
its just a wire that dangles in the tank.

Foam filled tanks should only be used with Tube type senders. There are a few available and with different resistance configurations to suit gauge
types. Some are a set length, some like the ATL can be cut to length. VDO & ISSPRO are the other two which spring to mind.
You would need to know the resistance which your gauge works to before purchase, it will most likely be either 90-0 ohm or 240-33 ohm
I tend to use ISSPRO senders & Autometer gauges.

Addition:
VDO appear to use the 90-0 ohm range for their tube type sender gauge and 240-33 ohm for lever type. This being the case you should be able to use an
IISPRO tube sender as they are available with a 240-33 ohm resistance.
