Steering wheel buttons umbilical cord

Hi all

A newbie after some advice, I'm fitting two twin button sparco steering wheel buttons to my project and was after some idea's to wire them robustly to the car. the buttons are for left/right indicators headlight flash and horn I was intending to use a clock spring but have gone off the idea. Current thinking is two coiled stereo leads with jack plugs into the dash. Any thoughts gratefully received.

CPC or Maplin will sell you multicore cable, and then use a latching din plug for the cable to dash. Just make sure that all the high current loads are on relays,... horn, headlights etc

hope that helps

Thanks Howard, I've found the right connectors, locking dins, but can't seem to find a suitable cable, a 5 core coiled type. Anyone got any ideas for an of the shelf one that won't break the bank?

Cheapest way I've seen to get curly cable is to buy a cheap wired telephone handset, they are cheaper than buying the cable from an electronics dealer.
Don't know how many ways they put up the cable though.

Cheers all, job done.
Coiled 4 core cable from RS components, locking plug and socket from maplin. earthed through the steering column, everything functioning spot on.
