Brake pressure switch

My brake pressure switch failed last week and it has taken me a while to get a replacement having to order one with a 1/8" NPT thread such as the Intermotor 51600.

I did a bit of a search online and found a few others complaining about how long they last and a mod to do to my wiring to add a relay so the 3.5 Amps of current goes through relay contacts rather then the switch it self.

May be worth considering if anyone has similar problems.

Came off an MG forum.

I did a slightly different wire up but works the same.

Why do I have to make the tools to finish the job? More time then money.

had the same problem adrian. i got through 3 pressure switches before i gave up. i tried the relay option and it made naff all difference. i ended up fitting a micro switch to the brake pedal and it has been good as gold since.
