Starting issues

Evening all.

just looking for a little advice here...

went to my car today for the first time in 4 months,

nice new battery fitted i crank her over and she spins very slowly then stops.
hooked it upto my other car via jump leads and she started but the starter still seemed to struggle and i think this was a red herring.

switched off and tried to restart again and nothing much happened, even with the jump leads connected.

battery volts are 12.5v
now when i turn the car over the volts drop from about 11v to 7.5v and the starter cant turn the engine over

im thinking possible starter motor dying? what are peoples thoughts

If the battery voltage drops almost instantly to below 9 volts it points to a dead cell in the battery.
Same goes if it drops to 6 volts or so and then quite slowly rises to circa 10v.

Could be a corroded connection if standing for a while.

Check the starter positive and earth connections before assuming the motor is dead.

My other halfs just told me the Porsche has been struggling a bit after races etc and she needed a push start when leaving Parc Ferme after the last race of the season,

Went out to my Austin Seven Special yesterday - had sat since September but started after a bit of churning and choke juggling - with my itzt-bitzy Odessey PC545 battery.
Not even been on trickle charge..........

...... however my clutch had stuck and took a bit of reving and starting in gear to clear.
