can anyone make me one of these.......please
Hi all,
As I have no access to welding, nor able to actually weld, Ive given up on making my own alternator mounting. I have a small alternator which I need
to mount to a 2.0 blacktop. Its this one...
The set up below is how I want it to be like (less the £220 that GBS want for the kit).
What I dont have is the idler pulley, although I have the idler wheel from the donor so maybe that could be adapted.
So the million dollar question is.......
Can anyone make something for me??? I have a few beer tokens.
If your local then better as I can drop the alternator round, if not, I suppose I could send it to you or let me know where you are as I might travel
near with work.
Alternativley I could have a small alternator for sale soon to fund the GBS kit. (which does not fit my alternator and they want just over £100 just
for the brackets!!)
Any help greatly appreciated.

I'm a little too far away to make something, but here's an idea for the idler pulley.

Hi Andy,
Where in mid Beds are you ? I am in letchworth, North Herts so not too far away. If you can get the metal to make the brackets I can bring my welding
gear to you and weld it for you. My welding is not the prettiest but it will be strong welds.
I can only come up to you, the week after next (due to chemo cycles). If this is any good to you let me know and we can arrange a day. I don't
want paying, it would just be nice to get out and do something, I've been off work sick for six months.
Nigel
Ron said it would cost 250 quid. My wife thinks it did.

How big is that pulley that it needs a 3tonne jack to hold it up D
