Honda CDI units
I'm very slowly building a Honda CB750, it wont be standard but wont be a full blown cafe racer either.
I'm planning on using a fireblade ignition system, because I have all the bits left over from when I ran a 1996 fireblade.
Question is, how will the CDI unit behave without a TPS connected, I really don't want to mess with fitting one to the carbs, will the CDI work
as per a Pre 96 (RRS/T) blade CDI which doesn't take a TPS? Or am I better finding an RRS/T CDI.
Cheers.
Pete.

If it works the same way as megasquirt (TPS / Fuel Logic) then it will need the TPS to calculate acceleration enrichment. It cant be too difficult to
add one though?
Kindest Regards,
Richard.

I think TPS just retards the ignition or operates a solenoid to enrich the top end mixture on fireblade carbs so it should run without it using the
750 carbs.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
