Fuel pump position

Hello,

My Tiger cat fuel tank has the fuel exit on the top of side.

I was planning to place my standard 2.0 efi sohc electric fuel pump under the tank.

So is this pump able to suck the fuel out of the tank,
Or should i make à new exit under the tank ?
