steering wheel wiring

im wanting to install two buttons on my wheel

the wheel is removable so i want to have the wiring on a connector to some flex cable mounted under the dash

anyone done it before, and i want a proper connector that will last, any recommendations of which type and where to purchase from?

get a 4 pin milspec plug and coiled flex (like telephone wire but with a larger conductor). like

this

and COILED CURLEY PVC EXTENDIBLE 3 CORE MAINS FLEX 13A NEW

ETA: ive used those plugs and had them imported from hong kong without any issues so far.

those connectors do they need some applicator so i can install the wires? and are they quarter turn fit or screw together?

Those connectors just require you to solder the wires into them, no special needs, RS have plenty like it that I have used if you want more colours or sizes.
