horn mot working on my tin top mondeo
any help welcome,
on my mondeo st tdci the horn has stopped working,
the other day pressing it it didn't work then after a couple of hits started working,
now today its dead,
the relay is clicking and put muti meter on and getting about 9v there,
wire in a spare horn from the westy to see if is the twin horns broke and this is not working also,
could it be the relay, fuse looks ok too,
any ideas on this or is it a connection behind airbag,
grrr hate cars especially tin tops
thanks for any info

Bad earth? Are you actually getting 12v at the horn, if not work back from there, is there 12v on the horn supply side of the relay when you push the
horn?

disconnected wires from back of horn checked power with multi meter when pressing the horn its getting around 9v but fluctuating and some times not
working when holding the horn button down you can hear the relay click off,
perhaps something wrong on the horn button behind by the airbag?
are they easy to get off anyone done it, don't want it exploding on me
thanks

Could be, just disconnect the battery for 20 mins or so before trying to remove the airbag, if your getting 9v at the horn wire even if ots a bit hit
and mis. have you tried hooking the the horn up to a battery to see if it works? Funnile enough the horn on my Alfa hasnt worked since i got it,
shortly after writing my first reply to this thread i jumped in it to go to the shops and it now seems to have started working all by
itself.......when was halloween?
