resetting speedo
I'm playing around with an early digital R6 instrument cluster that I might use on my zero. Reasons for doing this are:
A. I got it for free.
B. I have too much spare time on my hands at the moment!
Have got the speedo and tacho working on a signal generator. It has 100K on the clock and I'd like it reset (for a new build).
If I run it to a million km will it reset back to zero (this would take over 3 months at full speed though).
What about soldering a new chip to the pcb?

Fair point. Well I am overseas on a not so intense army tour. However I don't think watching an odometer tick over will entertain me. On the
other hand if I knew it would work I could leave in running in the corner for a long while...
