Megajolt not talking to PC, first time I have connected it since buying the car, PC operating on Windows Home Vista, downloaded the latest version Megajolt, any help is appreciated......

Usualy this problem is with the laptop assigned COM port
You can set Megajolt to see COM ports 1 - 10

Are you using a usb - serial converter?

My last pc on Vista would not work with either FTDI or Prolific chipset converters, the old XP lappy worked fine, and so does this Win7 machine, I put it down to another Vista oddity.....

USB serial converter, I have ea second lap top with Win 7 on it, I will try that, can't get the vista lap top to see ports via device manager?

Just wanted to say thanks to all for the help , all sorted now and talking to the megajolt, downloaded the devise software fir my USB serial port and assigned to com port 4 on PC and megajolt and away it went.

Just needed some maps now for a 2 later Zetec on bike carbs, got the usual one off the auto lab site but if anyone has any nice fast road maps I would really. Like to give them a try.....
