The usual modern practice on tintops is to have a two leads coming from the battery feeding the fuse box and starter respectively. The mainly lead to the fuse box goes through a high amp rated Maxi or Midi fuse then to the distribution fuse box(es).

Some but not all aftermarket fuse boxes have a bus bar built in.
The protection of Maxi or Midi fuse between the bush bar and the battery is a wise move.

On modern tintops the alternator power cable normally goes to a separate Maxi or Midi fuse.

You can get Midi fuses up to 150amp and Maxi fuses up to 500 amps

That is a nice item I fitted blade & mini blade led fuses to my last tintop -- even just doing the essential fuses it was a chore to change them over in both fuse boxes but it paid off on the only time a fuse blew.
