dta ecu into peugeot loom

not for the locost i'm afraid, but can any electric whiz's help me with this? I'm wanting to splice a dta after market ecu into a peugeot tu series engine loom.

i have the wiring diagrams of both the ecu and the car (from the haynes) but am not really sure where to go. There shouldn't be that many wires to change, its knowing which ones!

any help appreciated.

here are the respective wiring diagrams:

106 1360cc wiring loom from haynes manual: http://www.locostbuilders.co.uk/upload/IMG_1379.jpg
DTA ecu pdf from dtafast website: http://www.dtafast.co.uk/IGNFPINOUTS.pdf

thanks,

Ned.

Hi Ned,

Can't help you with the wiring but are you fitting the box with the Launch Control gizmo thingy?

I'd be interested to know how you get on with that if it is.

Cheers

Mark

well the dta does have launch control -basically a rev hold button for first gear.

I don't that its legal in the class i'm looking at so its unlikely i'll hook it up, but if i do i'll let you know. I have the documentation if theres any info in there thats of any use to you mark?

rayward, any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Ned.

um just a few sprints with my roadcar that i'm trying to make a little more competitive. I'm hoping to run bike throttle bodies on it, the only thing that'd need changing over the standard loom for that is i think the tps as the injectors are mounted in the head, so i can retain the standard fuel rail etc but would need to fit an adjustable regulator i believe. I need to check about an air flow/temp or pressure sensor that'd need to go in the plenum/inlet manifold somewhere i guess.

I'm looking at starting next year, running with the twmc which run at lydden, goodwood, brands and silverstone which are reasonably close all being southern based which would keep the costs down.

If you're mapping from scratch, then you shouldn't need an adjustable regulator really, as long as your injector sizing is ok (i.e. you can get enough fuel at std pressure without running out of injector pulse width)

If you are using std injectors then it should be fine with the std reg.

You may want to fit an air temp sensor. The correction it normally applies is very little but is still worth having. Mine's just cable tied to the fuel rail, roughly the same air that the trumpets are pulling in!

You won't need a pressure sender, just use throttle position sensing, vacuum based load sensing is a pain in the arse.
