Problems with blade clocks
Hi again,
We are still having problems with the blade clocks from this thread. I have
checked all wiring but cannot find a fault anywhere. What displays on these clocks with just the ignition on? They worked when we tested them on the
bike but I can't remember what is displayed before the engine is started so not sure whether this is normal or not.

As far as i remeber its neutral light, oil pressure light, temp shows as - - then oC,
and mileage. will check later and confirm for you.
I am talking about clocks from a 98 blade

I had the same problem. I'm doing this from memory, so bear with me...
IIRC, there are three wires from the clocks that must be grounded/earthed. It was ambiguous is the factory diagram. Once sorted, the issue goes away.
If I remember right, it was my tach gauge that didn't work...
Anyway, I can look tonight to see what wires need to be grounded. Hopefully someone will answer sooner.

Thanks guys for the replies, must be something wrong somewhere as the displays are blank so the search for the problem continues. Going to check the
earth connections again. Will let you know how I get on.
