Ignition leads Pinto & Coil pack

Can anyone tell me what the best ignition leads are for a pinto engine fitted with Megajolt and Zetec coil pack please?

Im waiting for a Mondeo coil pack to be delivered with some leads but dont know if they will fitonto pinto plugs. I heard that you need either a specific type or custom made ones - can anyone shed some light on this please.

Cheers,
Darren.

Hmm the problem you'll have is that the 'Mondeo' leads will have VERY LONG plug connectors on them - as the mondeo is 16 valve and the space from rocker cover to plugs is quite large.

The Pinto is a lot shorter. I mistakingly got some ZETEC-S leads - these are much shorter and can be found on the Fiesta Zetecs etc - These might do the job nicely. I have an 'electric blue' set if you want em

Best advice is to see how far out they are (Measure) - then pop to scrapyard and then measure as many leads as possible.

Fiesta leads are quite usefull , especially as there are loads in scrapyards and it is easy to find good ones , it is possible to get the lengths you need by removing the ones nearest the correct length from a nuber of cars to make a set.I have also used some from a CVH Sierra that had edis fitted

To you mate - £5 + postage?

They're practically brand new - just had my grubby hands on

I'll even throw in the coil pack as well - how does that sound?

Locost Option

I just squeezed the dizzy end of my leads togther a bit so that they fit into the coil pack.

I do need to get a set as they are too long but haven't had time to go scrap yard hunting for options.

I guess lengths will depend on where you have the coil pack fitted.
