Sierra Switches on Escort Loom
Hi,
I have spent a glorious weekend wiring my car (fantastic to see it
gradually coming to life).
I got everything working using the old MK2 Escort wiring loom and
steering column indicator/light switches. I then swapped to the
sierra ones I want to end up using (it's amazing that they just plug
in). My problem is that now the headlights (low, side and high beams)
will only work when the windscreen wiper stalk is set on rear wash
wipe?!
Therefore the question (at last) is:
Can anyone tell me the correct wiring to run Sierra steering column
switches (wipers and lights on/off - the ones on the right of the
steering column) on an escort wiring loom? Leave to one side the need
for additional relays I can do this once I get the switches wire
correctly.
Regards,
Tony

Use the search for Sierra switches, it turns up lots of links to old threads, not all about Escort looms but you might find something useful. Early
Fiesta switchgear fits the Sierra loom as well. Click here.

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
