Speedo Healer

Hi all,

Going to rolling road tommorrow or tue, going to hopefully calibrate the speedohealer while we are there. How easy is it?

We are using the original speedo sensor from the gearbox type blade, picking up magnets mounted on the prop adaptor.

When the speedohealer is in test mode the LED flashes but in transparent mode the speedo doesn't read anythin, this was on axel stands so not ideal!

I have also noticed that if the error is a negative value the online calculator wont generate instructions. Has anyone had any experience in this or is it generally a posotive error?

Hope i havent confused you too much!

Mike

dead easy, calibrated mine tonight funnily enough. admittedley my mate sat in the indy as i pulled him round in a tow car with an a frame. think it was switch 4 for 10 mph incements, 5 for 1 mph increments and 6 for 1/10th increments. have been told that you can have them too accurate. calibrated him by a tom tom in the indy after one tow down the local 7 mile long bypass at 30 mph then all other speeds after that matched. he wanted to perfect it but i think he wanted to stay in the indy for longer until it started to rain. hardest part was putting the a frame.

will tell you how accurate after SVA on tuesday arghhhhhhhhhhhhh.

ours ( honda plugged speedo healer plugged straight in to the loom ) read posistive showed 45mph at 20mph

Cheers for the replies guys,

the only thing i cant get my head around was when we had the rear wheels off the ground and ran the car up the speedo didnt read, since this we have placed more magnets on the prop adaptor to increase the signals, as before when the speedo healer is in test mode the needle on the speedo moves to 15mph and when you pass the magnets and the sensor the LED lights up.

I think i'm just gonna have to do it trial and error!

Mike
