edis terminals and the main dealer
just rang the local ford dealership to enquire about the terminals for the plug
got through explaned what i wanted
got the repliy of...........
whats an edis unit what do they do
oh grate i thought no chance here
all i could get from him is we can only supply a loom
so no chane from the dealer then
where would we be without the main dealer network

I went in for a gearbox mount the guy asked me if my sierra was a 4x4 or fwd !
when I said it was rwd - he told me I must be confused

I went into ford yesterday to get a price for bottom radiator hose for a mondeo he asked me reg number then chassis number, i told him it was for a
kit car, he said they dont do parts for kit cars anymore.

Unfortunately most parts places now work from VIN and registration numbers due to the manufacturers (mainly French ones) constantly changing the
design of parts through the prduction life of the vehicle.

I've got an old pug (very early 106) and even with the vin, the reg, the old part and the whole car just outside the door I still normally have
to chose between 3 different parts for most things
and every time it will be the one that's out of stock
ford stuff is easier, its just the parts guys don't know what they are looking for - so now I just tell them a car model + age that should have
the bits, then I find the bit I want on the screen myself and tell them the part number
