Starter Relay

I'm fairly sure I know the answer to this but does the starter relay need a diode in reverse bias. I assume that there is nothing to sensitive to damage.

You dont even need a relay.

the solenoid on the starter will draw around 9~10 amps which a standard sierra ignition switch or the likes can easilly handle.

That would certainally make the wiring a little easier.
