4AGE Speed Sensor

I have removed a 4AGE engine from a FWD 1989 Corolla GTi (AE 92) along with the engine bay wiring loom. Before I scrap the car I need to make sure I have all of the sensors that plug into the ECU. The haynes manual and various web sites refer to a speed sensor input on the ECU. I've looked all over for the friggin speed sensor but can't find it.

Anyone?

Don't bother, not needed. Not connected on ECU later either.

For info it's in the speedo head and is a small pulse generator that feeds out to ECU.

Cheers Rob, that will save me a bit of time. I spent a couple of hours up under the dash today trying to trace the wire to it's destination. All I achieved was a few grazed knuckles and 2 deep lacerations.

By the way thanks for the email info you sent a few days ago. You are a real goldmine of 4AGE info.
