Sierra fuel guage with 6 hole top mount sender
Hi, I have an aftermarket Fuel sender for my locost tank and wanted to use the sierra guage as i am running the complete dash unit. the sender i have
(from obp) is intended for one wire but the sierra sunder has three is there any way of wiring my sender to the guage?

On mine [1.8 cvh] The standard Sierra gauge / sender only had one wire for the level signal - can't remember which off the top of my head.
The other was an earth I think.
I'm still using the Sierra sender in my MK and was using the Sierra clocks until recently and only has one wire to it.

Hi, mine is from the a 1992 2.0 DOHC. the fuel sender guage is the only part not functional which i dont reckon is too bad for someone colour-blind!
But it seems a shame to paid for a sender to not use it and have a dodgy dash guage eh?

are you sure the additional wire is not for the dash lighting ? I am using the standard dash with an aftermarket sender only 2 wires and have no
problems

Hello, I assumed that one was the guage, the other the low leve l light and couldnt guess a third! What colour wire do you have going into the sender
unit and have you earthed it? The pump and sender share an earth on the sierra and my pump earth is now far away and separate from the tank.
