Cheap headlights?

I need to start my headlights soon which will be build into the car bodywork (think this kind of thing)

I can make the surround for the lights myself with fibreglass but I need some lights to go in there. Any suggestions for a car that I can get the headlight units from and take apart? Scrappies etc

Something like this:

what are those ones in your picture? i've been thinking of the same thing.

i thought of ford puma. apparently they're really crap in the puma, so probably not much better out of one

hella (i think) so a set of lights, but at £90 a pair... and you have to have 4, coz one pair is your main beam, the other is dip i think. so not cheap, but they look real nice, and are perfect. svc have them

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

Thanks for the info, I like those hella ones. The pic I posted was some upgrade for a saxo or something, I can't remember

Just looked at the ford puma, they look just about right for what i'm looking for, might be worth looking out for a pair. Just looked on ebay, £120 for one side. Eek
