No, they need the E mark. Testers don't like them.

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

No! Whereas flimsy old OEM ones are fine as long as they're E-marked!!!

Mine passed fine!
They looked for markings on them and also the Tensile strength of the bolts.
Mine were Schroth ASMIII ones

just looked at the manual, it says (i'm not writing out the whole thing)
E marked OR, one of the other standards, or a specification marking which demonstrates the belt satisfies the requirements of a european standard OR
has equivalent characteristics to that of a belt approved for the same catagory of vehicle.
FIA approval surely meets something in there

It would be interesting to know how many more people have passed SVA with them ? As you mentioned, if they are good enough for FIA approval I dont see
the problem !

FIA does not meet E marks!
(Even though it far exceeds them)

oh i know, but the manual says it should be e marked OR have a british safety or european standard and provide documentaion if necessary. but
basically, doesn't HAVE to have the E mark

i suppose, as long as the tester isn't up his own bottom, and can use some common sense, should be fine

There are two kinds.
Ones that need you to press a button and twist to open are automatic failures.
The ones that just require a rotation are down to examiners interpretation of what "one direction" means.
quote: E5b 4 iii the locking mechanism, ie the buckle, when both under load and not under load, can be released by a single movement in one
direction by either hand.
