Electric speedo sender
I'm almost up to the stage of choosing clocks for the GTS, and stumbled across something on eBay.
I've done some research on here (oh yeah, using the search function!) and found that most people use a separate speedo sensor and magnet,
adhered to the driveshaft or similar. I know some have done it to the front wheels so calibration can't be checked at SVA/IVA, which appeals
and makes me wonder at the same time.
I know mechanical speedo's are a nightmare when it comes to running the cable from the gearbox, from what I've read.
But what about this thingy ?
I'm guessing this, when combined with the electrical sender unit, would mean an electircal speedo would work off this.
Just wondered if anyone had tried this as an alternative to sensor by the driveshaft mounted method?
As always, I await comments/criticism....

^^^ BP sell them too, as poster above says, check rthere will be romm in teh tunnel and it clears gearbox mounts.
but yes, that would work with the Ford sender - it is waht it was designed for!

The clearance needs to be around 80mm at the surface of where the T9-A mounts, this clearance is to allow for movement of the engine/gearbox,
I'm not sure it will fit a locost/gts.

Have a look at the ss34-1:

as these pick up from 4 bolt heads on the prop or front hub and there are no magnets to faff about with.
