Brake Fluid Warning Light
Hi,
If I undseratnd the rules the brake fluid has to have a warning light - on that can be tested to how the light is working?
Does it have to light up when you turn the ignition on or can it be on a tester switch.
Any suggestions or advice gratefully recieved.
Thanks
Frank

You can double it up with the handbrake warning light so it serves both functions or have it on a switch which doesn't latch. It doesn't
need to come on with the ignition like ABS light.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

You don't require a handbrake light but do require a test function. Many use a convoluted switch on the handbrake for this purpose. I used a
simple switch on the dash for sva [along with the test button on the reservoir] and passed no probs.

Mine is linked to the handbrake switch light. If you remove the top from the Brake resovior the light illuminatesala loss of brake fluid. I
don't have a switch in the circuit.

the handbrake counts as the switch you 'don't have'
but yeah, either wire it through the handbrake switch or put a push switch on the dash
