wiper question
MG wiper motor, which was originally for 3 blades, but I am using 2. Seems I have power going in from the fuse box, and continuity to the earth, but
no joy on the motor.
I had previously wired it using a simple ON-OFF-ON switch for Slow - Off - Fast operation, with no park function (gave up on that, which you
can't do with this switch anyways), and it worked fine. I have since taken all my wiring apart and made it much neater. Everything else seems to
be on track, but not this wiper motor, which is needed before I can put my dash on.
So I think my motor is toast. What do you think can be done?
Review of motor wires:
Slow Speed: red/green (out to switch)
Park: brown/light green
Ignition: light green (power into the motor)
Fast Speed: blue/light green (out to switch)
Earth: black (to earth)
One day I'll stop asking all these questions and get on with it... driving that is.

Brain fade. I forgot completely that the brown wire coming into the motor is just for the park function. Live from the fuse box goes to the slow, and
fast speeds directly. If you don't use the park function, you can just flip the switch momentarily til you find the right parking spot for the
blades.
PROBLEM SOLVED.

I saw a circuit on the interwebbie a month or so back, which allowed the park function on a Lucas wiper motor to work with an ordinary 2-way switch.
Just needs an ordinary automotive relay to do the job.
I can have a hunt around if you're interested.

Thanks anyways, but I'm keeping it as simple as possible. I've cleaned up miles of wire under the dash, since I ripped it all out, and
don't need any more. I can't seen using the wipers much in the real world. And it will be in the real world if I can now figure out how I
miswired my headlights, reattach the tacho and speedo wires, and glue on my wings.
