Gauges.

Hi.

I need a set of 3 gauges:
Boost (turbo)
Fuel pressure
AFR (without sensor / controller, just a 0-5v "reader"

They should be 2" / 52mm
They should be similar (same brand / model) and preferably low cost.
I can find Boost and Fuel pressure easely, but generally AFR are narrowbands, or include a sensor and controller, which I already have.

Do you have an opinion on suitable gauges?

Thanks in advance,
Joao

Just an idea but a narrow band AFR is 0 to 1v if for the wide band you want 0 to 5V just use a drop resistor in series with the gauge.

Most AFR controllers I have looked into seem to have a second output that is configurable

I know mine has and I just chucked a narrowband gauge on the other output from my controller and progged it to output 0-1v

Mine has a simulated narrowband output, but looking to the output voltage vs. afr reading, I had 2nd doubts on if it was reliable or not.
What's your experience?

Joao

It should be the same...as its simulating a narrowband sensor so /should/ be the same

Which controller are you using?

Some have the ability to just output a fixed voltage to the outputs, so you can check what voltage does what to the needle and get plotting to make it suit what you want

I am using a JAW where both outputs are configurable and I spent days trying to get guage and megasquirt to agree ...and I think I got close enough for what I want
(though wouldn't be at all surprised if it was way out of whack :-) )

Recently my gauge started to play up a bit and became very inconsistent and think I found that the gauge has some issues as I could make it read richer or leaner by bending the bracket that holds in onto the tunnel...so possibly a bad ground/connector somewhere

Need to wait for a less wet day and hook laptop up and multimeter to see what is going on

Rob
