Brake Caliper Reconditioning

I got halfway to college today and the near side front brake caliper seized and the off side doesn't feel like its far behind.

Does anyone know where i can get a recon kit for it? (dont want to pay £70 +VAT)

You don't say what car.

or a decent local motorfactor should be able to sort you out.

Always wise to do them both at the same time as the other is probably going to be in a similar state.

its your brakes and £70 aint a lot to have them right

of course if you have the time to recondition then fair enough.. things like this i always put a price on my time say £10 an hour then see which is actually cheaper

Its for a 97 Jag XJ6. I know £70 isnt bad but when i want to get both done and the ones on the locost, it all adds up

Are you sure that it's the actual caliper that has siezed and not just the pads sticking in the caliper? The weather we have been having seems to be causing a lot of brake problems
