Brake Caliper Reconditioning
I got halfway to college today and the near side front brake caliper seized and the off side doesn't feel like its far behind.
Does anyone know where i can get a recon kit for it? (dont want to pay £70 +VAT)

You don't say what car.

or a decent local motorfactor should be able to sort you out.
Always wise to do them both at the same time as the other is probably going to be in a similar state.

its your brakes and £70 aint a lot to have them right
of course if you have the time to recondition then fair enough.. things like this i always put a price on my time say £10 an hour then see which is
actually cheaper

Its for a 97 Jag XJ6. I know £70 isnt bad but when i want to get both done and the ones on the locost, it all adds up ![](/images//smilies/sad.gif)

Are you sure that it's the actual caliper that has siezed and not just the pads sticking in the caliper? The weather we have been having seems
to be causing a lot of brake problems
