Megajolt question

Bear with me this could be a stupid question (Zetec blacktop/Edis/ Megajolt BTW).

Following the MJ instructions my crank sensor would point a 9 o'clock on the trigger wheel (15 degrees BTDC cylinder 1). It would be a lot easier for me to mount it at 3 o'clock.
3 o'clock would be 15 degrees BTDC cylinder 4 - yes?
3 o'clock would spark cylinders 1 and 4 exactly as 9 o'clock would - yes?
The crank sensor mounted at 3 o'clock would function exactly the same as at 9 o'clock and MJ would function OK - yes?

yes.
it doesn't matter where the actual sensor or missing tooth is mounted, but if you set your engine to TDC, put the sensor wherever you want to put it, then set the trigger wheel so it points at the 9th tooth of the trigger (anti clockwise from the missing tooth).

i did it exactly the same as rich.

set the engine at tdc, put the sensor at 3 o'clock then count 9 teeth anticlockwise from the missing one and aim that 9th tooth at the sensor.

as usual picture says 1000 words
