Megasquirt Cooling Fan Option

Hi all,
I have the MS option installed to control the rad cooling fan. I fancy the idea of an override switch but not sure how to wire this in. Any suggestions please?
Thanks,
Matt

Just wire in the switch to switch the relay to ground.

You should have MS controlling a relay, switching it to ground when the fan comes on. Run another wire from the switched ground on the relay to your override switch, then the other side of the switch to your chassis.

Hey presto, fan override

I have mine wired up this way and it works fine.

Cheers David,
So in the attached pic, run another wire from terminal 56 on relay to one side of override switch other side to earth?
If so, very simple.
Thanks,
Matt

You shouldn't need an override if you have the temp values in the MS set up correctly!

^^^For sure, but you never know when you might need it so I'd rather put one in and hopefully never have to use it!
Thanks,
Matt

Does the MS option work after the ignition is switched off?
ATM I'm using the rad switch which has a permanent live and doesn't go off until its cool enough...

It's got a relay as well, need to have a look at the Haynes, I'm confused now.....
