Vapor Dash install / help questions
I have got a vapor dash and i have a couple of questions about installing it onto a car
What have people done to get the temperature?
What is the best way to pick up rpm?
Is the display illumination carible (or is it just on off)
Is there any other tricks / issues i should be aware of before I install it??
Thanks for your time

I used the hose fitting sender supplied by Trailtech and fitted this close to where the original bike sensor was (still is)

From the ECU if possible. Mine doesn't work like this so I have 5 turns of the red core around a HT lead. Take the black core to its own
earth.

Take the +ve and -ve power supply directly from the vehicle battery

Just make sure you get the right cable to power the thing.
From memory there are two identical cables in the kit, and one cuts the power down to 9V, which stopped the backlight staying on if you use it to
power the unit
(at least that is the problem i had, even though the manual said it only needs something like 6V)

Thanks for your help.
I am running it with a conventional car engine. Sorry I should of made that clear at the start.
Has anyone used it with that type of engine and if so any advice, especially temp and rpm?
Thanks.

(Hopefully) this pic will confirm the connections.
If you have any problems, give Trailtech a call - they were pretty helpful to me. Do a google etc search for the UK details.
They advised me to wind the wire around the plug lead for the tacho - I still haven't managed to get it to read a V6 properly though
