Rev Limiter Problem

Hello all,

recently fitted an omex rev limiter and shift light to the indy, had the first drive yesterday and was really good, however at about 3-4k it feels as if the rev limiter comes on for a second and the shift light flashes very briefly, if you keep your foot planted it will carry on after this up to the red line,

anyone had an issue before? its wired to an h&h solutions dizzy on a pinto set up.

any advice welcome, ill get some pics of the set up soon.

have you programmed it in properly, so you set your max revs to 6500-6800 and i would imagine you set your shift light to about 6200 ?????

may seem an insolent question but got to get the basics rigth first.

there is no reason why the limiter should come on at 3-4000.

I love Pinto's, even if i did get mine from P&O!

yep all set up fine and once it is past 3-4k it goes on up to 6700, shift light at 6200, just almost comes on for a split second at around 4k. ill go over the wiring again but pretty certain its good.

I would suspect it's not getting a clean signal, if you know someone with an scope you could easily check if that is the issue. Otherwise try running a shielded cable putting the braid/screen to earth. This may well help to cut down any interference.

from your post it would seem that its about half of the normal limit.
