I can do upto 97 no problems. Ive got a 99 comming for me to decode

How far has he got ?

does he have the key for the ecu ?

has he got the antena from around the ignition.

?????????

The antena has four wires one is perm 12v and another earth the other two are tx / rx and go to the ecu.

On a 99 they will all be black has he got them wired correct ?

the ford Tis states that for around that year security went up with the alarm being codded to the ecu aswell as the key.

Ive had a one go but couldnt get it to go but that was just with the ecu.

Like I say ive got a full car to play with in a few weeks so maybe of more help then.

An aswer to your question is there are no specific instructions as pin numbers and wiring colours change between model year and spec.

Mev have done instructions for a focus of a specific year.

Find your self a copy of Autodata. the Tis cd you can get on ebay is bugger all use.

The alarm status light flashes to say its not detecting a valid code from a key.

Antena will have four wires and one must be perm live and not switched. Earlier ecu's did not need the alarm pluged in.

You also need the perm 12v to the ecu.

I take it he has laid the whole loom in there with fuse box ?
