Where to buy and sealing connectors...
1st off I need a few connectors, where's the best place to buy??
2nd question is is it possible to fill the rear of connector blocks with a silicone to help keep them watertight and increase its mechanical strength?

Can't help you on 1) but I think 2) is OK. I have an loom plug on top of my engine which is missing a rubber cap thingy, so I just squirted
clear slicone sealant on it covering all the wires and it has been fine for 5 years so far.

PoleVolt sell a wide range of connectors. All come with pins and rubber grommets to seal the cable entry, reasonable prices too.
I think its polevolt.co.uk but google polevolt and you will find it.

Have a look here and you'll see the component catalogue, look through that and find a housing then check all related part numbers for terminals
and seals.
Then order the bits, make out they for Nissan or Ford or whatever. Good quantities are 10 off housings each side and 100 terminals, 100 seals etc.
Free, free free, takes up to a couple weeks depending when the pick is.

Another option for waterproofing the back of the plugs is resin. Not used it myself but have seen it in several different types of electrical bits and
bobs (i.e. the regulator on my vfr), wouldn't want to try and remove it though!.
It looks like the Midget is winning at the moment......
