side lights on sierra stalk
Hi
Wiring my stalks up as per the diagram below , my side lights will only work when the ignition is on which is no good for IVA. Putting pin (30) as a
perminant live and not a switch live sorts that little issue out.
Now my question is , will puting it to a perminant live mean my indicators will also work with the ignition off or is the indicators worked off the
other switch live (H30) on the other plug?
Sierra stalks in colour
Many thanks

Not sure of the electrical answer to your question.
But, my indicators work when the ignition is off. It isn't a problem (and wasn't for SVA). The hazards have to be able to work when the
ignition is off.
I have a battery cut-off switch, which means I don't need to worry about accidentally running down my tiny battery when parked up.

Looking at the sierra wiring diagrams pin 30 should be a permanent feed.
This won't affect the indicators as the switched power feed for them is pin 54.
Hope that helps.

So i can asume that the wiring chart i have is incorect for pin 30 then, it should be peminant live not switched live as it shows.
Cheers for all your help

The power to the indicators comes from the flasher relay to the stalk switches. The permanent live is for your hazards and main beam flasher. On Ford
looms all solid reds are permanent live feeds, it's just labelled wrong.

yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
