indicators - work fine until start engine

hey guys,

i've installed LED indicators so they were flashing too fast...

solution: one of these.....
DUAL LOAD LED FLASHER RELAY 3 PIN L.E.D FLASH RATE FIX! on eBay (end time 08-Dec-10 19:19:49 GMT)

worked fine but when i switch the engine on it just goes on and off really really fast so the indicators are basically on and not flashing when i try to indicate.

any ideas?

Sounds like it's not wired correctly. Beware simply swapping it in for your old flasher relay - they don't always have the same pin layout.

On your new flasher, pin 49 should go to an ignition supplied live (indicators should only operate when the ignition is on). Pin 49a goes to your indicator switch. Pin 31 goes to earth.

Cheers R

try wiring it to a constant earth EG the battery or body and try then.

i had a simular issue with my lights on my old sierra stalks.

i used a black wire assuming it was a normal earth. but it only worked with ignition off.

go me :O)
