Wiring LED toggle switches?
Hello all, finished my dash (almost) and have a question regarding the LED toggle switches I have. How do you wire them up to light up when switched
on? They have 3 connections (Earth/Acc/+ve), now I can get the switches to work using the Acc and +ve terminals, but no matter what I do I can not
get the LEDs to light when on. I can get them to come on all the time, but not switched......
Thanks
Lee

i thought all you had to do was earth the earth connection? +ve is obviously 12v live, acc goes to whatever's being switched, and i thought the
earth completes the led connection (+ve, switch, earth)?

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

Thats what i have done with mine and it works.
How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

Thanks, I thought that is what I had done, but I will try again later. Not sure of they are switching relays, as the switches are for the fan/fog
light/fuel pump.
I will get it sorted and once more thanks for all the help.

Same here, if he was using relays I had a drawing, well more of a etch-a-sketch!

if they are switching fuel pump/fan/fog they *should* go through a relay.

Lee,
if you're switching the earth from your circuit, then the LEDs will not light, as when the switch is on, there's no potential difference
between the wire coming in and eart, as they are directly connected.
You need to switch the positive feed from the battery before your circuit.
