Premier loom instructions wanted

Hi All,

I have just bought a part finished Fury and it looks like it has a Premier loom as part of the build - I used a Lucas uniloom on a kit previously - very good.

This kit has the DIN or Sierra version of the loom - different colour coding to what I have - Does anyone have the paperwork for these/this loom PDF scan etc.

Cheers

Andrew

Hi ndy thanks for the offer - I had done a search and come up with a few scans on the site - Just posted by request then went back to search and found exactly what I needed. I knew it would be on here somewhere.

Thanks for the offer but thanks to LCB I think I am sorted but if I come up short I will drop you a PM

Cheers

No worries, glad you found what you need

If you do need a copy then its here if/when you need it, my wiring instructions are for the Sierra based loom,

Sorry if you are already aware of this.......but be careful with the wiring for the rear fog light, early premier looms weren,t configured to only allow the fog light to work when using dipped headlights, not sure how old your loom is but it might be wired to allow the fog light to work on the side lights, which would fail the IVA,

cheers

Thanks Andy - I will have a look into that issue - still have a lot to catch up with in regard to the IVA requirements and all these little gems will certainly make it easier - nice one

There's an extra relay in the new PWS loom to accommodate the Fog light issue - so look for 5 relays if you have 4 then it is an old style loom

Duratec Engine is fitted, MS2 Extra V3 is assembled and tested, engine running, car now built. IVA passed 26/02/2016

Everything for the car was purchased 2004/5 - it's a 4 relay loom. Thanks for the info on the reuirement for an extra relay I will have a search and see if there are any posts regarding the wiring of one in on the forum before I look at re-inventing one.
Again many thanks for the tips on these items.

There is a way of taking a feed for the rear foglight from the feed to the headlamps, by using diodes so that the current doesn't feed from the dip circuit to the full beam or vice versa.

Can't be arsed to draw it, but you sound like you know what you are doing. For others, the idea is the two diodes wired as a Y from dip and main feeds to the fog light switch, then the fog ligth switch itself needs to be earthed (for the built in warning lamp), then from there to the fog lamp itself, then to earth.
